In the Vineyard:

Heavy rain Monday and Wednesday, sunny and 70's on Saturday.

In the Wine Cellar:

Working on a display wine rack.

In the Tasting Room:

Continued reorganization.

Updated the journal.

 

Week ending 11/9/2003:  

In the Vineyard:

Mixed sun and rain.

In the Wine Cellar:

Working on the display wine rack.  Added enzymes, TA, KC to the 2003 Syrah 'SYR/212/D80'. 

In the Tasting Room:

Continued reorganization.

On the Website:

Updated the journal.

In the Vineyard:

High winds

In the Wine Cellar:

Working on the display wine rack.  Racked the 2003 Syrah SYR/212/D80 into the oak barrel.  Filtered, bottled the 2000 Cayuga, 2002 Syrah SYR/212/D80, 2003 Blueberry-Cranberry for an upcoming wine competition.  Racked the 2002 Syrah PR into the oak barrel for aging.

Continued reorganization.

In the Vineyard:

Rainy start of the week gives way to warming in the 50's for the weekend.

In the Wine Cellar:

Finished the display wine rack. 

In the Tasting Room:

Continued reorganization.

Week ending 11/30/2003:  

In the Vineyard:

Sunny in the 40's.  Getting ready to prune the vines when they are completely dormant.

In the Wine Cellar:

Finished the display wine rack. Topped up the barrel aged 2002 Syrah PR.

In the Tasting Room:

Thanksgiving with the folks.  Selections included a 2002 Picpoul de Pinet Coteaux du Langeudoc from Hugues Beaulieu (a crisp Sauvignon Blanc with nuances of grapefruit and lemon) and a Rothbury Estates Shiraz with the tasty bird.
