Budbreak is here for the Cabernet and Chardonnay!  Mixed sun and rain this week--frost warning Sunday night!

Budbreak is here for the Riesling!  Mixed sun and rain.

In the Wine Cellar:

Attended food and wine writer's event w/ wine and cheese reception.  Detailed notes to follow!

Week ending 5/18/2003:  

In the Vineyard:

Rain all week, sunny on the weekend-- then another frost warning!  We whipped the vineyard into shape, adding the last new wires, pulling weeds, laying down some ground cover.  Looking good!

In the Wine Cellar:

Review wine for possible competition entry.

Rain all week.  Flower clusters on the vines!

In the Wine Cellar:

Inventoried the bottled wine and the wine that is bulk aging.

Attended cider tasting of Magner's, Strongbow and Cider Jack with a local expert.  Planning for a future "Cider All-Niter."
